The Aquila canopy is a modular structure available in 6 standard sizes, 3 x 3, 4.5 x 4.5, 6 x 6, 6 x 3, 4.5 x 3 and 6 x 4.5 metres and any number of bespoke sizes. The modular nature of the Aquila canopy means that there are an infinite number of configurations possible. Our experienced design team will help you devise the most appropriate arrangement of canopies dependent on:

  • The site
  • The type of use
  • The number of people to be covered

Supplied as completely demountable units, Aquila canopies are either freestanding with anchor points or fixed to a permanent structure. The ridged conical shape of the canopy is designed for rainwater drainage and snow dispersal.

Durability and Safety

The success of the Aquila design rests in its ability to deliver extreme performance without compromising aesthetics – it is both smart and strong.

An installation carried out 24 years ago in May 1987 at a Caravan Park in Southsea was subjected to extreme weather conditions during the Great Storm of 1987 that devastated southern England. The Aquila canopy survived with no significant damage.

During the extreme weather conditions of December 2010, all of our one hundred permanent Aquila structures withstood the weight of heavy snowfall over a number of days.

Aquila frames are manufactured from 6061 structural aluminium. This can be powder coated with the further option of protective padding around the column supports. This is our standard specification for schools where our canopies are designed for high volumes of people passing through them. Our membranes are manufactured from fully waterproof, flameproof and UV resistant reinforced PVC.

Totally flexible environments - that evolve

You can begin with a single shelter and enlarge, adapt and restyle the system as your needs dicatate. You can add units, mix roof profiles, change colours and even encompass natural features such as trees, streams, rock outcrops or sloping sites within the scheme to add further interest. Let your imagination run riot!
