Outdoor canopy & shelter checklist:

• Aquila Shelters has been installing school playground shelters since 1994 in over 100 schools.
• Customised materials such as canopy fabric & frames in your choice of colour.
• Architectural fabric, brise soleil uk structures for UV protection.
• Based on a modular school shelter design which can serve as an outdoor classroom.
• Fixed structures that have outperformed their design windspeed of 64 mph and fresh snow depth of 12 inches.
• Outdoor canopies that fall within IStructE guidelines and if correctly maintained will operate typically for 15 to 20 years.
• Most outdoor shelters installed in educational establishments are exempt from planning permission as long as they are 6 metres from the building perimeter. In most cases a school playground shelter is well within the school boundary.
• Outdoor shelters below 30 square metres in size (333 square foot) have exemptions from permanent structure building regulations.
